Sonic Legends to Produce Soundscapes for Fantasy Craft and Spycraft
Sonic Legends partners with Crafty Games, LLC to create downloadable companion mp3s for Fantasy Craft and Spycraft roleplaying games
Tarrytown, October 5, 2009: Sonic Legends and Crafty Games LLC have announced a new licensing venture. Following Sonic Legends' launch of their brand new e-store, which will offer original, downloadable music and sound effects (“soundscapes”) designed for tabletop and live-action roleplaying games, Sonic Legends will release a special series of companion soundscapes for the newest Fantasy Craft adventure, The Cleansing of Black Spur. The soundscapes and the PDF are due for release in November, 2009. All companion soundscapes will be available for download at www.sonic-legends.com.
Sonic Legends is also slated to produce soundscapes for Fantasy Craft's existing adventure, The Darkest Hour, as well as future Spycraft and Fantasy Craft adventures.
Sonic Legends’ Fantasy Craft soundscapes will feature original orchestral music seamlessly blended with atmospheric sound effects pulled right off the adventures’ pages.
“Table top RPGs don’t have the benefit of a visual setting, since they are usually played at a table in someone’s living room,” says Erika Lieberman, Sonic Legends founder and one of its principal composers and sound designers, “so setting the mood is highly dependent on the right music and sound effects. The music provides an emotional backdrop, and the sound effects really put you in the environment and trigger the imagination. It’s so exciting to watch how much our soundscapes enhance gamers’ roleplaying experience, and I can’t wait to see how they work with Fantasy Craft.”
